Henry Holguin

Our beloved Father, Henry Holguin, 76, passed away at his home on August 23, 2016 in Odessa, Texas.

The family of Henry Holguin will receive friends at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. A rosary will be held at 7:00pm on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
A mass will be celebrated at 10:00am Thursday, August 25, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Reverend Mark Woodruff of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, celebrant.

Henry was born in Imperial, Texas to Luciano and Margarita Holguin on March 1, 1940. He went to school at Buena Vista in Imperial. He married, Betty Damron on January 2000 in Odessa, Texas. He worked as a pumper for Amoco for over 20 years. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Gustavo Holguin, Guadalupe Holguin, Cipriano Holguin, Salvador Holguin and Luciano Holguin, Jr. and his granddaughter, Markki Holguin.

Henry is survived by his spouse, Betty Damron, his daughter, Sondra Eoff and husband Toby, son Michael Holguin, daughter-in-law, Paula Holguin, his grandchildren: Jerrod and Reece Eoff and Dillon Holguin, his brothers, Ramon Holguin and sister-in-law Sue of Forsan, TX, Fred Holguin and sister-in-law, Susie of Forsan, TX, sisters, Senaida Aranda and brother-in-law, Felipe of Lovington, NM and Margarita Acosta and the late Domingo Acosta of Imperial, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Gustavo Holguin, Jr., Oscar Holguin, Ramon Holguin, Jr., Luciano Holguin III, Phil Aranda, Domingo Acosta, Jr., Freddie Holguin and Salvador Holguin, Jr.

Memorials may be given to Catholic Charities.

The family of Henry Holguin wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Le, Terry & Rosie with Star Hospice, Caren Anderson, Wanda Johnston, Laverne Lippe, Ana Mata and Nora Valencia.
