Henry Schiller

Henry John Schiller, age 86, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 in Odessa.

He was born February 2, 1924 in Rogas, Texas to Frank and Rosie Lee Schiller. He was a veteran of World War 11, serving in the South Pacific as a member of the 41st infantry division. He retired from the city of Odessa on December 31, 1989 after 24 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Doris Vermell Schiller of Odessa two daughters, Glenda Reuter of Lancaster, Wisconsin and Johnna Marker of Odessa, Texas. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Amber Hanrahan of Pardeville, Wisconsin, Wendy Barney of La Cresent, Minnesota, Wayne Reuter of New Port News, Virginia, Linda Matchey of Whitehall, Wisconsin, Macy Marker of Odessa, Texas and Carlee Marker of Odessa, Texas eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

A memorial service, with Military Honors by the VFW Post 4372, will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 with Larry Hood officiating.
