Henry Sloan

Henry Lee Sloan joined his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven on Feb 13, 2019.

Henry was born to Norman James and Alma Fay Sloan on July 6, 1953 in Midland, Texas. He married the love of his life, Lana Clark, on Oct 16, 1969, and they had 49 wonderful years together. Henry was talented in many areas and by trade a certified mechanic for many years. He taught himself to accomplish the guitar, enjoyed singing and remembered every word to songs he loved. He never met a stranger and eagerly discussed the Bible, the way to salvation, and how much he loved the Lord.

Preceding him in death are his beloved daughter, Amy Sloan, parents, Norman and Alma Fay Sloan, brothers, Randall, Kenneth and Gregory Sloan, and sister, Patricia King.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lana Sloan; his son, Jason and wife, Sherri Sloan of Odessa; brothers, Jim and wife Joyce Sloan of Cleburne, Texas, Dennis and wife Alicia Sloan of Lake Dallas, Texas, Mel Henson of Houston, Texas; sisters, Gail Holloway of Whitehouse, Texas, Kay Hendrickson and husband, Terry of McComb, MS, Linda Carruth and husband, Billy of Arlington, Texas, and many precious nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Graveside Service will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
