Henry Villanueva

Henry N. Villanueva, 72 years of age, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010 in Odessa, Texas.

He was born March 23, 1938 in Kent, Texas to Pedro and Elisa Villanueva. While living in Ft. Davis, Texas he met Adela Cano and they married on March 17, 1969. That same year they relocated to Odessa, Texas where he began his 35 year career with E.C.I.S.D. His work ethic and loyalty was admired by all who had the privilege of working along side him, including his brother Ysmael Villanueva. As dedicated as he was to his job, he will be most remembered for being a wonderful husband and father.

He is survived by his wife, Adela Villanueva of Odessa his six daughters, Sally Ann Villanueva, Elizabeth Villanueva, Marina Villalobos, Angelica Ward and her husband Michael, Monica Sumuel and her husband Dione, and Vivian Pugh and her husband Timothy five grandchildren, Christopher Vasquez, Victoria Pilar San Miguel, Jesse Vasquez, Joaquin R. Villalobos and Mya Sumuel his siblings, brother, Frank Pancho Villanueva, sister, Josephina Vasquez, brothers, Jose Villanueva, and Gilbert Villanueva, Ysmael Villanueva.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Pedro Villanueva and Thomas Villanueva and sister Teresa Molinar.

Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, July 2, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Bernadito officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Michael Ward, Timothy Pugh, Dione Sumuel, Johnny Vasquez, Christopher Vasquez, and Danny Prieto, Jr.
