Herbert Sims

Herbert Wayne Sims, age 78 of Austin, Texas passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012 in Austin.

He was born August 7, 1933 in Comanche, Texas to Earl Sims and Belva Orene Hasley Sims. He graduated from Odessa High School and worked as a salesman for Kenny Shoes and Western Auto in Odessa. He was a member of the Elks Club.

Herbert was preceded in death by his father, Earl Sims, his mother Belva Sims and his brother Gary Sims.

Survivors include his sisterinlaw, Ann Sims his niece, Tina Shands and his great nephew, Alexander Shands, all of Austin.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Clydel Chapman of North Side Baptist Church officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to any Hospice Organization. The family of Herbert Sims wishes to extend our sincere thanks to West Oak Healthcare Center of Austin and New Century Hospice of Austin.
