Herminda (Minda) Fernandez Hurst went to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, May 20, 2015 following a short stay at Medical Center Hospital.

Minda was born on September 8, 1948, the daughter of Benjamin Fernandez and Ruth (West) Fernandez. She was one of 10 children in the Fernandez family. Minda grew up in Arizona, where she attended Williams High school. Minda then moved to Odessa where she began her nursing education.
