On this 13th day of December, 2015 H. Thomas Hirsch went to his resting place with our Heavenly Father. He fought a good fight but his body knew it was time for him to rest. I'm quite sure he's up there telling all the lawyer jokes to everyone just in case they missed them down here. He was born January 15, 1941 in Fredericksburg, Texas to Henry Jacob Hirsch and Cornelia Faye Stewart who preceded him in death. His first daughter, Tracey Lee Hirsch, also preceded him in death.
He was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 1965. He was also admitted to practice before US Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas. Preparatory education, University of Texas School of Law (LLB.,1965). Fraternity: Phi Alpha Delta, he was a Member of the Ector County Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (Board of Directors, 2003); National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Being a lawyer was an honor to him and he put his all into every single client and each separate case.
Tom loved traveling the world, skiing, deep sea fishing, and spending time at his lake house in Brownwood. He was an avid Longhorn fan and loved going to the games and watching them on tv.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Gayle Hirsch; daughter, Catherine Leslie Nelson and her husband Brent of Crowley, TX. and their children Kaitlin and Zachary; daughter, Angie Wagner Kough and her husband John of Burleson, TX and their children, Samuel, Emily, Anna, Benjamin, and Joel; son, Andy Wagner of Tyler, TX. and his daughter Meghan of Odessa, TX; brother, Dick Hirsch and his wife Sylvia of Arlington, TX; brother in law, Bill McLean of Georgetown; sister in law, Janie Fife of Midland, TX; mother in law, Mona Wagner of Odessa, TX; several nieces, nephews, numerous friends, and clients.
