Homer DeWayne Butch Colvin
Homer Dewayne Butch Colvin, of Odessa, passed away on March 12, 2012, in a motor vehicle accident just 10 miles outside of Rankin Texas on Highway 349.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, March 15, 2012 from 68pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 16, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jimmy Braswell of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Butch was born in Levelland, Texas to John and Virginia Colvin on March 30, 1948. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1966. He married his soul mate and best friend, Molly Crow on August 17, 1984 in Odessa. This year Butch and Molly would have celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary. He was employed by BTI Blowout Tools Inc at the time of his death.
Butch was a Christian and he loved the Lord.
He and Molly loved going to Lake Buchanan to fish for catfish off the dock at Paradise Point. Butchs favorite past time was just being at home with his wife and three little Yorkies.
Butch is preceded in death by his father John Colvin, his brother in law James Corcoran, and his uncle and aunt, Homer and Marie Pitman.
Butch is survived by his wife Molly, his son Cody Colvin of Clearlake, son Kris Crow and wife Tisha of Odessa , and daughter Kym Puga and husband Tony of Bartlesville, Ok,. His sister, Lunda Corcoran of Odessa. His mother Virginia Colvin, of Odessa. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren: Hannah, Braxton, and Kriston Puga of Bartlesville, Ok and Jaden and Julianna Crow of Odessa. He was also blessed with WAY TOO MANY wonderful friends to even list.
Pallbearers will be Tony Puga, Jerry Duley, Leonard Buddy Mallone, Jack Henry, Brian Shoemaker, Eugene Burkhaulter, and Don Knuckles. Honorary Pallbearers are Russell Griswold, Homer Pitman and James Corcoran.
