Ima Faye Branam Moore Capps passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 in Midland, Texas following a short illness. Faye was born on May 14, 1929 in Camp Arkansas, as the oldest child of Troy and Minnie Branam. At an early age her parents moved to Crane, Texas and later Monahans, Texas for her father to find work. Fay Graduated from Monahans High School in 1948. It was there that she met and later married James W. Bill Moore. They had 3 children, Sharon, Kenneth, and Debra. Faye was a hard worker and worked for the First National Bank in Monahans for a number of years. As a teenager she worked at several of the drug stores in Monahans. They were members at Southside Baptist Church.
In 1975, they moved to Midland, Texas for work. She continued to work for the First National Bank of Midland and later the FDIC. While living in Midland they attended Alamo Heights Baptist Church. After Bills death in 1983, Faye began attending the Senior Citizens Dances in Andrews, and Odessa. It was there that she met Sam Capps. In September 1989, they married and she moved with him to Jal, New Mexico where they attended Calvary Baptist Church. They took many trips in their camper. After Sams death in 2009, Faye moved back to her home in Midland. Faye spent many hours reading and doing word search puzzles. She also enjoyed spending time with her greatgreat granddaughters as Faye.
She is Preceded in death by her parents Troy and Minnie Branam, brothers Houston and Curtis Branam, Husband Bill Moore, Son Kenneth Moore, Daughter Debra Moore, Daughterinlaw Nancy Moore and Second Husband Sam Capps. Those that are left to cherish their many wonderful memories of their times with her are: Sister and Brotherinlaw Helen and Jim Jordon of Monahans, Daughter Sharon Miller, Granddaughter and Grandsoninlaw Michelle and Greg McCright all of Midland, Granddaughter and Grandsoninlaw Karen and Christopher Bumgarner of Ft. Worth, Grandsons Patrick Moore and Carl Blanch of Houston, Texas and Steven Moore of Litte Rock, Arkansas and her Stepson and StepDaughterinlaw Jimmy and Adela Capps of Kermit, Texas Great Granddaughter and Grandsoninlaw Kathryn and Tim Pendergrass, and GreatGreat Granddaughters, Grace Whitney and Mikaela Pendergrass of Midland. There are numerous Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews and many other Family and Friends that will truly miss her.
