Irene Hollen

Irene Rollman von Hollen 74, of Odessa TX passed away on June 20, 2013 in Odessa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Monday June 24, 2013 at Redeemer Lutheran Church 824 East 18th Street, Odessa with Pastor Bill Hillyer officiating.

She was born Irene Helen Laffery to George and Mary Scheideman Laffery on June 25, 1938 in Clay Center, KS. She was raised, attended schools and church in Clay Center. She married Harold Rollman in 1965, they later divorced and she was united in marriage to David von Hollen on October 11, 1997. In February of 1980 she moved to Odessa Texas and worked for Marklyn Controls, Delta X, Kaiser, Ameripol , and Midco Machine until her retirement. She was a devote Christian and involved in various activities at her church Redeemer Lutheran and was involved in the West Texas Kennel Club.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents George and Mary, and two brothers, George Jr. and LeRoy Laffery.

Irene is survived by her husband David, of the home, her brother Bruce Lanita Laffery of Clay Center KS, three children Bonnie Girard of Salina, KS Don Debbie Girard of Omaha, NE and JR Rollman of Odessa, daughterinlaw Brinda Rollman of Odessa, Stepson Don Melissa von Hollen of Calgary Alta Canada and Stepdaughter Heidi von Hollen of Rocky Mountain House Alta, Canada. Grandchildren Jeremy Blevins of Alabama, Annie Somers of Salina, KS. Tyson Tonya Girard of Wichita, KS. Katie Steven Sare of Salina, KS. Taylor Girard of McPherson, KS. Jasmine Kahrs of Washington, KS. Amy Rollman, Becky Steven Dillon, and Jonathan Rollman all of Odessa and 8 great grandchildren, Cristian, Destany, Kaiya, CJ, Serenity, Faith, Hope and Keiton and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to Redeemer Lutheran Church at 824 East 18th Street, Odessa TX 79761. The family of Irene wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the many Drs nurses at MCH, Members of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Pastor Bill Hillyer and her many friends and loved ones.
