Irma Peek

Irma Dean Peek, 73, of Midland, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008 in Midland, Texas.

She was born October 2, 1935 in Kilgore, Texas to G.S. Hunt and Nettie Jernigan Hunt. She graduated in 1953 from Midland High School and married Carl Peek in 1987. For over twenty years, she worked as a bookkeeper for the City of Midland. After her retirement, she loved to travel. She also loved kids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Peek in July of 2008.

Survivors include her son, Ken Woody and wife Peg of Midland; daughter, Rhonda Holloway and husband Ty of Rockwall, Texas; three sisters, Eloise Crawford of Colorado City, Texas, Mary Hughes of Coldspring, Texas and Jackie Whalin of Granbury, Texas; and one grandson Jonathan Holloway.

Visitation with the family will be at 9:00 AM Monday, November 17, 2008 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 AM Monday, November 17, 2008 in Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Bob Porterfield officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
