Irma Romero

Maria Irma Romero, a devoted homemaker, beloved mother, and cherished member of the Odessa community, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the age of 81. 

Born on May 1, 1943, in Mission, TX, Maria was the loving daughter of Amado Martinez and Tomasa Garcia. Maria's legacy lives on through her large and loving family. 

She is survived by her children, Guadalupe Garza III, and his wife Sandra and their children: Matthew Gabriel Garza, Mitchell Jacob Garza: Velma Chantel Hienen, and her children: Fabien Sanchez, and children: Aries Sanchez, Fabian Sanchez, Jr., Madison Belew and Gasper Sanchez, Brett Heinen, Laura Belew, Saira Sanchez: Luis Garza and wife Sylvia, and their children: Luis Garza, Jr., Christopher Lee Garza: Michael Garza and his grandchildren: Mazie Taylor, Mat Garza, Zevren Garza, Zerk Garza, Zaylee Garza: Velinda Garza and child, Jessica Marie Garza, grandchildren: Valerie Sanchez, Anthonie Garza: Elsie Rendon and her children: Jackie Hernandez, Jade Rendon: grandchildren: Elyanna Medillin Natalie Hernandez, Bethany Hernandez, Frank Hernandez Jr., and Jocelyn Torres: Janet Delgado and her children: Peter Moralez and children: Jason Moralez Jr., Brittany Delgado and grandchildren: Jermiah Moralez, Kyra Morlaez, , great-grandchild, Briana Delgado: Candy Ramirez and her children: Michael Anthony Ramirez, Vanessa Ramirez, Angelica Ramirez, Rudy Jo Ramirez: 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren: Felicia Ann Roman and her children: Kristan Roman, Andrew Roman, grandson: Jovian Martinez: Raquel Linda Duran and husband Jerry and their children: Ryan Sergio Cox and Jacob David Cox: Amado Jesus Romero and children: Cyrria Romero and Amado Jesus Romero, Jr.; two brothers, Arturo Martinez, and Alexandro Martinez; and a sister, Oralia Luna, who will deeply miss her warmth and unwavering love.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Romero.

 A celebration of Maria's life will be held at 10:00AM, August 20, 2024, with an encore Livestream available for those unable to attend in person. The funeral service will take place at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel at 6801 E. Business 20, Odessa, TX 79762, then Maria will be laid to rest in a burial ceremony after the services. 

Maria's kindness, strength, and love will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. In her memory, let us come together to celebrate her life and the impact she had on those around her. Maria's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace.
