Jacob Meek

Jacob Morgan Meek, 39, a loving son went to celebrate his life with his Lord and Savior for eternity on December 31, 2018.

Jacob was down syndrome and born in Odessa, Texas to Blake and Lynn Meek on January 9, 1980. Some of Jacob's greatest pleasures was spending time with all his family at any time.

Jacob was a light to all those he encountered. He loved giving people the rabbit ears with 2 fingers over his head, shaking hands and giving the "I love you" sign with his hands to all those he loved. His joy and smile lit up and shined to all those that were around him. He loved watching the movie "Annie" over and over with such joy every time like it was the first and was always wanting a frozen coke Icee and plain ‘ol vanilla ice cream.
His love for music was amazing, he would sing and those around him would not understand his words because of his speech disability but the joy they saw when he sang could not help but bring joy and happiness to around him.
Jacob was saved at Calvary Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas and baptized together with his 80-year-old Papa and it was an AMAZING moment to witness.

He was a member of Crossroads Church in Odessa, Texas.

He is survived by his parents Blake and Lynn Meek, his sisters Jessica Roberts and her husband Jerry and Sarah Meek; aunts and uncles Dave and Cheryl Richards, Todd and Paula Mitchell, Mark and Jan Morgan, Mike and Trina Morgan and Morris and Laura Morgan; cousins April Richards, Emily Lacy, Kailee Lockett, Kameron Mitchell, Ashley Morgan and Marcus and Cecily Morgan; nieces and nephews Tyler and Lauren Roberts, Aiden Sawyer, and Addison Meek.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa, TX on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Services will be held at Crossroads Church in Odessa, TX on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
