Jacqueline Hanson

Jackie Hanson, 55, passed away November 6, 2008 in Odessa, TX.

She was born on January 23, 1953 to John Van Inwegen and Beatrice Hyche in Delaware County Pennsylvania.

Jackie was raised in Media, PA, graduated from Penncrest High School in Lima, PA in 1970. She came to Odessa the following summer, where she met Steve.They were married in 1973. She was manager and cake decorator at Baskin Robbins for twelve years, worked as a dental assistant for several years and most recently was employed as a purchasing agent for M M Sales in Odessa. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Odessa, where she had been a member of the choir since 1994. She was also a member of Rama, a small Emmaus reunion group.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years Steve Hanson of Odessa; her two sons, Nathan Hanson and wife Erin of Belleville, IL and Matt Hanson and wife Stacey of Notrees, two granddaughters and one grandson; sisters, Susan Van Brunt of Florida, Linda Rudick of Montreal, Quebec and Johanna Muench of Rochester, NY.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 2 P.M. at First United Methodist Church with Terry Tamplen officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Gary Malone, Jay Stovall, Russell Kimble, David Nelson, Charlie Strackbein, Don Blair and Jody Wallin and Mike Schlueter.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday November 11, 2008 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to West Texas Cancer Center or First United Methodist Church Choir Fund.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
