James Choate

James Wayne Choate, age 73, of Dallas, TX, passed away on May 31, 2019 in Dallas.

Graveside Services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, June 7, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.

James was born October 6, 1945 to James Albert Choate and Mozelle Choate in Odessa, TX. He attended school in Alamogordo and graduated from New Mexico State University and achieved his master’s degree from UTPB in Odessa. He worked for many years in the oilfield.

James is preceded in death by his parents, James and Bertha Choate.

He is survived by his brother Noah Choate; sisters, Glenda Bradford, Sarah Shakespeare; niece, Shannon Brewer; nephew, Will Bradford and daughter, Cara Lisa Leatherman; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nicole, Jacob, Cade, Gage and Bellami; son in law, Brad Leatherman.
