James Hutchins

James (Peewee) Hutchins, age 78, of Odessa, TX, passed away on March 6, 2019 in Odessa.

PeeWee was small in stature but had a heart the size of Texas. He was loved by many family members and two that he chose as his own. He will forever be missed.

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, March 11, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clydel Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

James was born February 11, 1941 to LaRoy Hutchins and Zella Mae (Hoover) Hutchins in Houston, TX. He attended school in Odessa, TX. James married Judy McPherson on June 20, 1958 in Odessa. He worked for Odessa Spring and Axle for over 40 years. He was a Mason and a Shriner.

James is preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Hutchins; his son, James (Buddy) Hutchins; his parents, Roy and Zella Hutchins; his brother, Gary Hutchins and his sister, Melba Davidson.

James is survived by his loving wife, Judy; sister, Nelda Haynie; numerous nieces and nephews; chosen daughter, Linda Stewart; chosen son, Danny Pate; chosen grandchildren, Tanner Stewart, Taylor Wilson and chosen great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joe Commander, Tanner Stewart, Mickey Stewart, Sam Lance, Nathan Booker, Johnny Mireles and Jobey Commander.
