James Taylor

James Wilson Taylor, age 90, of Bent, New Mexico formerly of Odessa,Texas died Sunday February 14, 2010 at his home in Bent.

J.W. was born April 1, 1919 in Vernon, La. to James William and Mary Taylor. J.W. married Ruth Lucille White on February 1, 1938. Together they had four boys Wayne, Bobby, Perry and Jack. Ruth, Wayne, Bobby and Perry have preceded J.W. in death. He was looking forward to joining them in Heaven.

J.W. was a veteran of World War II, member of the Free Mason, past member of Texas Old Time Fiddlers, and an avid golfer, he enjoyed playing many rounds of golf with his family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Jack Taylor of Bent, New Mexico.

Visitation with the family is scheduled from 57 PM Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, February 19, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with Larry Hood officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
