Jane Town Cook, 75 years of age, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at her home in Odessa, Texas, surrounded by her loved ones.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 4, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Clydel Chapman of Northside Baptist officiating.
Jane was born in Odessa, TX to Archie Town and Mary Jo Jones on September 11, 1946. She went to school at Ector High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Johnny Dwight Cook, and they were married for 52 years. Jane was primarily a homemaker, however, she did have numerous jobs for many years, including the Box Office at the Coliseum, as well as working for ESISD as a hearing and vision screener. Jane had many talents and achievements over the course of her life. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Chapter, where she received numerous awards. She also took courses at Odessa College and received many certifications. Jane had many interests from antiques to painting, sewing, macrame, and refinishing furniture, but ultimately her greatest love was her family that she took such great care of.
Jane is preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, and daughter.
Jane is survived by her brother, Dr. Stephen Town and his wife Denise; her sister, Kay Town Tucker and husband Jot; grandsons, Jarred Mathews, and Trent Evenson; great grandchildren, Jordan Mathews, and Norma Mathews; niece, Kaitlyn McCrury and husband Avery; nephew, Brandon Tucker, his wife Braie, and their children, Brody, Rhett and Afton Tucker; and nephew, Jacob Tucker; as well as her friend of over 50 years, Lana Yandrich, and many others.
Pallbearers will be Jot Tucker, Gene Mathews, Avery McCrury, and Brandon Tucker.
