Janet Tisdale

Janet Sue Tisdale, age 76, of Odessa, Texas passed away on February 22, 2016 in Odessa.

Janet was born on June 19, 1939 to Elmer and Lucille Barrett in Harrisburg, Illinois. In 1953 Janet and her family moved to Odessa, Texas. Janet attended then graduated Odessa High School. She married Dwain Tisdale in 1959. They had two children, William and Cori. Janet worked at The Model Shop, Gibson's, Volunteer Sheriff's Department, Avis Rental Car and The Red Cross. She retired from the Red Cross to stay home and take care of her mother. After her mother died she worked for County Voting.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Lucille Barrett and one twin brother Jean "K" Barrett.

She is survived by her husband Dwain Tisdale, her son William Tisdale and wife Debbie of Odessa, daughter Cori Thane and her husband Gerald of Midland, her brother John "H" Barrett and wife Eleanor of Odessa, Nine grandkids, John Rogers, Lisa McCormick, Jena Tumlin, William Tisdale, Dallis Fourcher, Crystal Vasquez, Taharra Benham, Tara Hollom, Dustin Pope and 15 great grandkids.

Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 10am Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Jimmy Braswell officiating.
