Janie J. Webb, 72, of Gardendale, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 in Odessa.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 6-8pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
Services will be Monday, February 16, 2015 at 10am at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home with Reverend Clydel Chapman, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Janie was born October 15, 1942 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Lawrence Clarence Carman and Vera Gertrude Duggins.
Janie had a heart for the Lord and loved her family with her whole heart. She was the true example of the "southern belle" matriarch. She always had a house full of loved ones and enjoyed swinging on her porch while watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren playing in the yard.
She loved every single holiday and never forgot a birthday. Easter was her favorite holiday and nothing brought a smile to her face like grabbing her own Easter basket and hunting eggs with all her babies. She had one of the sweetest laughs and you were not getting by her without a hug and a kiss when you walked into her home.
Everyone she came across is a better person for knowing her. She instilled what the true meaning of family is to those who knew her and blessed her family with beautiful traditions and one of kind recipes to carry on in her name.
Janie was preceded in death by both her parents, one brother, L.C. Carman, her sister-in-law Burma Carman, and three sisters, Vivian Bray, Joyce Thompson and Aline Burns.
Janie is survived by her husband Donald H. Webb, her son Troy and his wife Stacy Webb, of Odessa; daughters, Tammy and her husband Roger Wagner, Liz Chitty, and Connie and her husband Rick Price, all of Gardendale; brothers Tommy and his wife Jackie Carman, of Odessa, Jimmy and his wife Janet Carman, of Houston, and Roy and Maggie Carman, of Muskogee, OK, and one sister Mandie Mae Cree, of Kilgore; seven grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Bearers are West Huggins, Mark Tarango, Casey Price, Jeremy Wagner, Clinton Goodman, and Jayton Sharp.
