Jean Mathis

Jean Madeline Mathis, age 81, of Odessa, passed away Friday, October 29, 2010 at home with her family by her side.

She was born December 18, 1928 in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada to Sam and Stephanie Bosnack. Jean was the oldest of four children.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bennie Bob Mathis.

Jean is survived by her sons, Robert Mathis and wife Jo and Donald Mathis three grandchildren, Chad, Lydia and Nathan, all of Odessa brothers, George Bosnack of Odessa, and Sam Bosnack and his wife Pattie of Marlin, Texas sister Ann Dunn and husband Jack, of Alabama brotherinlaw, Billie George and wife Jonell of Snyder, and sisterinlaw, LeMay Gray of Abilene and numerous nieces, nephews, close friends, and her loyal cat BooBoo who never left her side.

Visitation with the family will be from 68 PM Monday, November 1, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens

A special thanks to her daughterinlaw, Jo, who loved her very much and was always there for her and the caring staff of Interim Hospice, Kind Keepers, and Caring Senior Services.
