Jeanna Beth Wood, of Odessa, Texas, devoted mother, and friend to numerous people, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 14, 2021.
She was born in Sweetwater, Texas on August 5, 1941. Moving to Odessa, Texas with her parents, where she graduated at Odessa High School.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Kerri Wood Holladay and son-in-law, Thomas Holladay; her nephew and caretaker, Scott Snyder; sisters, Pam McFarlen, and Diane Furlow; as well as her brother, Johnnie Eugene McFarlen; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Jeanna loved working at the VFW Bingo Hall where she met many friends. She was also a lifetime member of the ladies’ auxiliary. For over 25 years she worked for Lupe Munguia who became a close family friend.
Jeanna loved playing the 777 slot machines with her friends, Neil Buckalew and his wife, Janie. Janie preceded her in death last year and Jeanna missed her very much. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and the slot machines with her friend, Sandy Hamilton. She loved all animals, from her racehorse, Mito’s Widow, to her dogs, both past and present, and her cats.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, December 20, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
