Jeanne Albert Crane, age 78, of Odessa, passed away peacefully, September 30, 2011 at the Hospice House of Odessa, Texas.
Jeanne was born on December 7, 1932 in Roswell, New Mexico to John and Faye Albert. After graduating from Roswell High School in 1951, she married Billy D. Crane in 1952. Jeanne lived in numerous states during her early married years, including Ohio and Hawaii. Jeanne worked several secretarial positions. These included being a legal secretary, as well as working with the Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Allied Health. She was employed as a secretary to the Dean of Education at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in Odessa, Texas during the 1970s.
She enjoyed traveling and camping by RV, cooking, reading a good book,
and listening to various kinds of music. She played piano and sang for many years.
She is survived by her husband Billy D. Crane, daughter Karen and spouse Leland McCain, sister Mildred Albert Fitzgerald, granddaughter Marissa and spouse Josh King,
Granddaughter Michelle and spouse Steven Strahan, and nephew Michael Fitzgerald, along with numerous other cousins
Jeanne is preceded in death by her mother, Luna Fay Albert, father John W. Albert, son
Robert Crane, and sister Joann Albert Miskulin.
Services will be held October 6, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa, Texas. Jimmy Braswell will be officiating.
Graveside services will be held October 7, 2011, at 1:00 MST at South Park Cemetary
in Roswell, New Mexico.
