Jeffrey "Byron" Thomason, resident of Hobbs, NM, passed away on August 9, 2018.
Byron was born on August 30, 1985 to Debra Ann Boggs and Jeffrey Frank Thomason. He graduated with a degree in chemical engineering from Texas Tech University in 2010. Byron was a season ticket holder to Texas Tech football games, and not once left a game early, regardless of weather or if the team was down or up.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda, and daughter Lila Ann Thomason, mother; Debra Boggs, father; Jeffrey Thomason and step-mother Jackie, siblings; Amanda Thomason Ayars, brother-in-law Rob Ayars, Tyler Thomason and Grant Thomason, and step-siblings, Amanda Waters, April Riddle and D. J. Holman.
Byron's family and friends will miss his humor…he never missed a chance to make a good "dad" joke. Byron was also a very giving man, quietly donating to a wide variety of charities. He was a man of strong values, and never wavered from his principles. Bryon was a devoted husband and father and loved dancing and singing with his family in the kitchen. He was devoted, loyal, loving, giving, funny, religious, smart and kind.
Bryon found joy growing into his new roles as husband and father and would often sing and dance with his wife and baby girl in the kitchen.
