Jeremy Schiff

Jeremy Kenneth Schiff, 42, of Midland passed from this earth on April 6th, 2022.  Graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 6801 E. Business 20, Odessa, TX at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2022, with Alfred Vardeman officiating.

Jeremy graduated from Greenwood High School in 1998.  One of Jeremy’s classmates said of Jeremy “he always had a smile and always tried to keep everyone else smiling.  He enjoyed being around everyone”.  Jeremy had a contagious laugh.  He treasured being a prankster and had a smile in his heart and a twinkle in his eye when he was about to prank someone!
Jeremy excelled in everything he tackled.  He loved to learn and spent a good deal of his younger life obtaining multiple degrees in a wide range of fields.  Some of his chosen careers included fireman, teacher of physical education and farrier.  He gave his all and thoroughly enjoyed each field of work.

Jeremy had a fierce love for the martial arts and was active and skilled in Judo.

Jeremy lived in many places but always called Midland home.  He was born January 28, 1982, to Bruce and Rebecca “Becky” Schiff.  A few years later he would welcome a younger brother, Christopher, into the family.

Christopher and Jeremy were close.  Of Jeremy’s passing Christopher remembers Jeremy being a loving, kindhearted, and caring gentleman.  A special soul who had a passion for animals and kids.

Jeremy is survived by his brother, Christopher Schiff, one uncle and multiple cousins.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Schiff, his mother Rebecca “Becky” Schiff, his maternal grandparents, Bill and Freddie Vardeman of Odessa, Texas, and his paternal grandmother Schiff.

Jeremy’s life ended much too early.  He was deeply loved by family and friends.  His passing has left a deep void in the lives of many.  His contagious smile, quick wit and twinkle in his eye will forever live in the hearts of those who love him. He will be missed.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
