Jerry Curry

Jerry Irene Curry, age 75, of Odessa, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in Odessa.

She was born April 15, 1938 in Corsicana, Texas to the late William Henry Moore and Pauline Clark Moore. She was raised in Texon and Big Lake. She married Ernest Eugene Curry on October 16, 1954 in Rankin, Texas, They moved to Odessa in 1960 where she worked as a meat wrapper for M. System and Safeway until they closed. She was a cook for a short time then worked at Odessa WalMart in the fabric department for 13 years. She retired due to health issues. She enjoyed sewing and making ceramic dolls.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Anthony Curry and Terry Curry a sister, Carneil Warren her husband, Ernest Curry and a great granddaughter Loraina Woodward.

Survivors include her sons, Bradley Curry and Shane Curry, both of Odessa a daughter, Kristina Bagley and husband Pat of Odessa a brother Dwayne Moore and wife Betty of Burleson, Texas a sister Barbara Wiest of Houston 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services are planned for 10:00 AM Friday, June 7, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Clydel Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Val Rodriguez, David Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, Gary Leonard, Bobby J. Woodward and Justin Bice.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Star Hospice, 620 N. Grant, Odessa, Texas 79761.
