Jerry Laughlin

ODESSA Jerry Pat Laughlin, born June 6, 1931 in Borger, TX to Andrew Laughlin and Hattie Austin Laughlin, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Odessa Regional Medical Center.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and wife Vela Laughlin.

Jerry served two years in the United States Army, two years in the United States Air Force, and two years in the United States Marines. During that time, he served as a guard in the United States Pentagon and was a veteran of the Korean War. He later worked for and retired from the Ector County Sheriffs office as a deputy sheriff.

Jerry is survived by his two daughters Karen Ott and Kent of Lubbock and Sharon Griffith and Gary of Odessa, five grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. He was a member of Sunset Heights Baptist Church in Odessa.

Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, TX.
