Jesse Paul Kirkland, III, age 40, of Del Rio passed away Monday, May 28, 2012 in Val Verde County.
He was born December 17, 1971 in Pecos, Texas to Jesse P. Kirkland, Jr. and Margaret Mozelle Smith Kirkland. He grew up in Odessa and graduated from Permian High School, then attended Odessa College. He worked for Kirkland Bros. Inc. until 1997 when he entered the Border Patrol Academy. He lived in Laredo before moving to Del Rio where he worked his way to the rank of Lead Border Patrol Agent in Del Rio. He enjoyed fishing, water and snow skiing, boating, anything associated with the Lake. He loved being a Border Patrol Agent. He was a Mason in Del Rio and a Master Mason in Val Verde, Lodge 646, York Rite Chapter and Council. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Del Rio.
Jesse was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Jesse Paul Kirkland, Sr. and his father Jesse Paul Kirkland, Jr.
Survivors include his son, Garrett Cisneros of Victoria, Texas his grandmothers, Juanita Kirkland of Phoenix and Carol Leverett of Gardendale his mother, Sheridan Kirkland of Odessa sisters, Lisa Teakell of Ft. Worth, Kim Liebhauser of Lake Havasu, Arizona and Lura Humble of Odessa and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 68 PM Friday, June 1, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Kyle Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
