Jessie Cherry

Jessie Jeanette Cherry, age 84, passed away Sunday July 29, 2012 at Covington County Nursing Home in Collins, Mississippi.

She was born June 11, 1928 in Hope, Arkansas to Jessie and Emma Cornelius. She married Pete Clifton Cherry on August 21, 1945. They were married 65 years, before his death in 2010.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Cotton Cornelius, one sister, Emma Jean Cornelius and two children, Jessie Javan and Elizabeth Crownover.

Left to cherish her memory are children, Margaret Adcock and husband Earnest of Mississippi, Earl Cherry and wife Pam of Odessa, Mary Rudloff and husband Ronald of Odessa stepson, Randy Cherry and wife Mary of Saint Paul, Minnesota sisters, Carlene Burns and Lorrine Day numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be 68 PM Friday, August 3, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clyde C. Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
