Jesus Galindo

Jesus Amador Galindo, age 94, of Odessa, Texas, passed away peacefully from this life on May 1, 2021. He was born on April 30, 1927 in Lubbock, Texas to Jesus (Sr.) and Juanita Galindo. He was married to his wife, Mercedes Galindo (deceased) for 49 years. They made their home in McCamey, Texas.

Amador was very much involved in the church when he lived in McCamey. He loved being a Crusillo and made it his life goal to bring his family and acquaintances closer to God. He enjoyed being around people and would happily strike up a conversation with anyone he met. He worked in McCamey as a welder, truck driver for a pipeline company, and ended his working days as a bus driver for the McCamey school system. He lived the last several years in Odessa with his daughter.

He is survived by his 4 children: Estella (Jimmy) Esparza, Erma Galindo, Lupe (Julia) Galindo, Isadora Subia, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandson. He is preceded in death by his wife, Merce; and two sons: Amador Galindo Jr. and Ruben Galindo.

Rosary will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home at 7 PM, Thursday, May 13, 2021. Services will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church at 2 PM, Friday, May 14, 2021.
