Jevin Tucker

August 16, 2007 — September 5, 2018

Jevin Kyler Tucker was the life of the party no matter where he was, and he was loved by everyone he encountered. He was quite a little prankster and a one of a kind crazy kid! Jevin was taken away from us way too soon at the tender age of 11 after a tragic equestrian accident.

Jevin was born to J.R. Tucker and Tiffany Hurst Tucker on August 16, 2007 at ORMC in Odessa and passed away at University Medical Center in Lubbock on September 5, 2018.

Jevin loved all sports, especially baseball, bowling, rodeo and wake-boarding. He played baseball since he was four years old and was involved in the youth bowling program for the past two years. He and his special friend, Kambreigh, placed 4th in doubles at the Texas State USBC Youth Championships in Grand Prairie this summer. For the past several years, Jevin loved spending time with family and friends at Lake Allen Henry tubing, wake-boarding and driving his Viking with his best canine friend, Piper, buckled in the front seat beside him. He and his Aunt Rob developed a love for horses, and Jevin turned into a little cowboy who was learning to rope and was looking forward to being involved in rodeos in the near future. Jevin was a huge fan of the Texas Longhorns and the Texas Rangers.

Jevin was preceded in death by his Nanny, Jeanie Brashers; Uncle Larry Hurst(Uncle Grandpa); Great Grandparents Boyce and Areeda Tucker (PawPaw and Great Granny), and Harold and Betty Graham (PaPa and Sugar Pie).

He is survived by his loving parents, J.R. and Tiffany Tucker; sister, Hayleigh Whatley; brother, Kaden Whatley; Maternal Grandparents, Ronnie and Judy Hurst of Odessa; Uncle James Royce Hurst, wife Lesley and children Teya and Parker Hurst and Felicity of Newark, Texas; Uncle Randy Hurst of Spring Branch, Texas and his children, Amye Witt and Dawson Hurst of Odessa; Aunt Robin Hurst and children Jaxon and Knox Grado of Odessa; Paternal Grandparents Eddie and Connie Tucker of Odessa; Aunt Carrie Green, husband Chris and children Brianna and Lexus Prewitt of Plano and Blaine Prewitt of Odessa; Great Aunts and Uncles Linda and Greg Terrell of Granbury and Cleone and Bernard Tucker of Odessa.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Sunset Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, September 12th from 6-8pm.

A celebration of life, co-officiated by Andy Hill and Jimmy Braswell, will be held at Stonegate Fellowship in Odessa on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 7:00 PM. In honor of the things that Jevin loved most, the family would like for those in attendance to wear his favorite color (pink), Texas Rangers or Texas Longhorns shirts, bowling jerseys or western attire.

Pall Bearers will be J.R. Tucker, Steven Dunlap, Jeff Vaught, Royce Hurst, Randy Hurst and Chris Green with Hayleigh and Kaden Whatley and Carrie Green serving as Honorary Pall Bearers.
