Jewell Lott

Jewell Lee Lott, known as Pie 85, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at her residence.

She was born January 15, 1924, in Marlin, Texas, Falls County. She graduated up to the eighth grade and was raised by two devoted parents, Fannie B. Austin and Frank Austin and older brother, Frank B. Austin and older sister, Lillie May Austin.

She moved to Kermit in her early years where she resided until adulthood, becoming a supervisor for Beverly Enterprises and attended Church of God in Christ with Pastor L.W. Dixon. She retired in 1989 moving to Odessa, Texas and attended the Prayer House Church of God in Christ with Pastor C. E. Turner and remained a member for over 28 years until her return home.

She is the mother of three girls, Janet M. Lott of Odessa, Texas, Laura Ann Williams and husband Roddrick Galvin of Dallas, Texas and Deborah Lott of San Antonio, Texas. She was a devoted Grandmother and Great Grandmother of thirteen Grandchildren, Shina A. Green, Ereck D. Lott, Brian Jackson of San Antonio, Texas, Willie J. Thurman and Danny B. L. Morris of San Angelo, Texas, Dabrisha Williams, Clenell Williams, Rodnell Williams, Lorenzo Williams of Dallas, Texas.; six Great Grandchildren, Tenaj M. Williams, Jay L. Samuel, Terrance L. Samuel, Jr. of Odessa, Texas, Alica M. Lott, of San Angelo, Texas, Raymion Crenshaw, of San Antonio, Texas and Promise Williams of Dallas, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Lillie May Austin, one brother, Frank B. Dep Austin and one grandchild Derek L. Lott.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor C. E. Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
