Jimmy Golden

Jim Golden, age 80, of Odessa, TX, passed away on December 3, 2017 in Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Lynn Money of Sherwood Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Jim Golden was born in Marietta, OK on June 27, 1937 to Joe Neil and Maxine Golden and raised by his grandparents, Ester and Knox Thompson. He went to school in Courtney, OK. Jim married Millie Hilliard on November 27, 1960 in Lubbock, TX. He created many successful businesses throughout the course of his career. He was part of the Sherwood Church of Christ family.

Jim Golden is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Millie Golden, his son and wife, Clint and Tracy Golden; grandchildren, Jacob and Kelsie Golden, Jarrett Golden; sisters, Melba Joyce Andersen and husband Eric and Lanell Swint and husband, Robert.

Memorial may be given to Lubbock Children Home, 4404 Idalou Rd., Lubbock, TX, 79403, St. Jude's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or Foster Home, 1779 N. Graham St., Stephenville, TX, 76401.
