Jimmy Smith

Jimmy (Jim) Leroy Smith, 81, of Odessa, passed away on March 9, 2021 in Odessa, Texas.

A private family service will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Friday March 12, 2021, with Chris Hagger of Heart-to-Heart Hospice, officiating. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Jim was born in Wirt, Oklahoma to Leonard and Francis Smith on December 31, 1939. He attended Odessa High School and graduated in 1958. He married Brenda Yockey on November 30, 1963 in Taylorville, Illinois. Jim was a salesman for Texas Industrial Services/ Unifirst for 27 years. He served in the United States Army, 25th infantry, 65th engineer battalion.

Jim is preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother.

Jim is survived by his wife: Brenda Smith. Children: Greg and Mary Smith, Chad Smith, and Jeffery and Crissy Smith. Grandchildren: Abigail Smith, Josh White and family, and Jaxon White and family.
