Jimmy (Peewee) Young, 77, of Odessa, passed away on April 25, 2016 in Odessa.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday April 28, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Floral arrangements by Arlene's of Odessa, TX.

Peewee was born in Trent, TX to Ross and Nettie Young on October 3, 1938. He Graduated High School from Hermleigh, TX. He married the love of his life, Helen Sanders on September 2, 1960 in Odessa. He worked as a machinist in the Permian Basin Oilfield from the early 1960s to the early 2000s. He was involved in Relay for Life, Bronco League Bowling and loved any High School football game he could attend.

Peewee is preceded in death by Helen, his loving wife of 47 years, his brother in love, Jim Moritz and his parents.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-love, Angela and Michael Gardner of Odessa, his daughter and son-in-love, Debbie and Greg Bishton of Colorado Springs, CO, his son and daughter- in- love, James and Leslie Young of Beatrice, NE and daughter and son-in-love, Donnie and Nick Moosher of Albuquerque, NM. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-love, Brady and Linda Young of Grand Prairie, TX his sister, Lorretta Moritz of Anahiem, CA and brother and sister-in-love, Bobby and Linda Young of Breckenridge, TX. His proud grandchildren include his granddaughter and her husband Brittany and Scott Smith and their sons Hunter and Wyatt ,his grandson and his wife Bryce and Shay Gardner all of Odessa, TX , his grandson Jacob Young of Beatrice, NE, and his grandson Dutch Bishton of Colorado Springs, CO.
Peewee also had numerous others who affectionately called him Uncle Jimmy or Pa. Those lucky ones include Michael Moritz and family, Shawn Marshall and family, April Messman and family, Kara Harkins and family, Brittany and Jessica Crawford and Jerry Tschauner and his girls.

Pallbearers will be Bryce Gardner, Jacob Young, Dutch Bishton, Scott Smith, Josh Velasquez and Bobby Veith.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Manuel Herrera, James Hornbuckle, Wayne Jackson, Ellis Herrera, Leonard Jones and Keith Kimberlin.

Memorials may be given to Home Hospice of Odessa.

The family of Peewee wishes to extend our sincere thanks to his Sweet friend and Dr for thirty years, Dr. Michael Shelton, Home Hospice of Odessa, our Sweet Angel Nurse, Tia and most especially, all of the Prayer Warriors who prayed for Peewee and our family.
