JoAnn Rubio Aranda, 63, of Odessa, passed away on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.
Rosary will be Friday, September 20th, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home at 7:00 PM. Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 21st, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Burke Millard, of Crossroads Church officiating.
JoAnn was born in Odessa to Enrique and Corina Rubio on February 27th, 1961. She went to school at Ector High School and graduated from Odessa High School. She married Mike Aranda on September 20th, 1991, in Odessa, Texas. She worked as a Teacher’s Aide for ECISD.
JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Enrique and Corina Rubio.
JoAnn is survived by her spouse, Mike Aranda; her two daughters, Michelle Esparza and her husband Richard Esparza, Catherine Graham and her husband David Graham; stepchildren, Elizabeth Aranda and Michael Aranda II; her brothers and sisters, Aurora Mendoza, Linda Martinez, Henry Rubio, and Edward Rubio; and grandchildren, Sophia Castillo, Noah Solis, Andrew Graham, Mia Esparza, Timothy Graham, and David Graham II.
JoAnn was often described as the life of the party and lived for her children and grandchildren. She was often the loudest cheerleader at the soccer fields or baseball parks. Through every obstacle life threw at her, she remained a strong, independent, and loving daughter, mother, spouse, and friend. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
