Joel Aaron Melton, 62, of Odessa, TX, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016 in Odessa.

Joe was born March 6, 1954 in El Paso, TX to David C. Melton and Sue Ella Marie Combs.

Joe graduated from Permian High School and played on the basketball team.

Joe had many talents. He loved basketball and was a great swimmer. Joe was a good athlete and he loved hot rods and good ‘ol Rock-n-Roll. Joe had the gift of gab and a strong love for animals. He was a very compassionate and loving person. Joe enjoyed playing the drums with his band and was also an auto body mechanic. Joe loved tinkering with and building cars and racing.

Joe leaves behind a loving sister Pamela Melton of Sacramento, CA and many friends that love him and will miss him.

Throughout Joe's life, he made many friends that will miss him as he enters his next destination.

Graveside Services will be at 4:00 pm, Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.
