John M. Grosvenor, 64, of Midland, passed away in Midland on August 23, 2016, after a short illness.
Memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 26 at Legacy Ranch Senior Living. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral home.
John was born in Seattle, WA on February 16, 1952 to Betty and Carl Grosvenor. He was a graduate of University of Illinois at Carbondale. He served 23 years in the US Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant. He then taught high school ROTC at Novato High School in Novato, CA for 5 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Laura Grosvenor and Marilyn Servo, and his brothers, Michael and Donald Cormiae.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Durgin and husband Jeff of Midland and Christine Grosvenor and wife Elizabeth Clements of Manchester, NH. Four grandchildren, Ashlee, Dominic, Colin and Bella Durgin of Midland. He is also survived by his sisters, Marie LeVering, Florence Kelly, Karen Foster, Patricia Cox, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in his honor may be made to Alzheimer's Association (alz.org). The family of John Grosvenor wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of Midland Memorial Hospital, to Hospice of Midland, and to the staff of Legacy Ranch.
