John Mark Jordan, age 59, of Midland TX, passed away on December 29, 2015.

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 1, 2016 from 4:00-6:00 pm, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa, TX.

Services will be at 4:00 pm, Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa, TX, with Reverend Jason Tippy officiating.

John Mark Jordan was born in Levelland, TX, on August 2, 1956 to Betsy and Bobbie Jordan. John graduated in Beaumont Texas in 1974. Following high school he went to work in the oil patch for a couple years, before achieving his life time dream of playing semiprofessional baseball for the Toronto Blue Jays. Following his time with the Blue Jays, he returned to the oil patch and was currently working for Chevron. While living in Hobbs, NM, John met the love of his life and best friend, Kristi Walker and were later married.

John loved all sports, especially baseball. He was an USSSA umpire for many years and loved coaching. He was a fan of many teams, especially Texas Tech. John loved fishing, hunting and the great outdoors. His greatest love was his family, especially all his grandchildren. He was a man that never met a stranger and was a friend to all that knew him. A father, brother, son and friend who will truly be missed by all.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Betsy and Bobby Jordan.

He is survived by his wife, Kristi Jordan of Midland, TX; sons, Derek and wife Brandi of Lubbock, TX, Jayden Brown of Midland, TX; daughters, Andrea Wilson of Denton, TX, Lauren Tippy and husband Janson of Breaux Bridge, LA, Laurisa Dunn and husband Timothy of Weatherford, TX, Ashley Koltonski and husband Cade of Midland, TX; grandchildren, Madison, Aubrey, London, Brayden, Payton, Ryleigh, Whitley, Brantley, Grayson, Kashton and Emerson; two brothers: Bobby and wife Connie Jordan of Tahoka, TX, Michael and wife Debra Jordan of Dallas, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
