John Williams

John L. Williams, age 74, of Odessa, TX, passed away on August 18, 2017 in Odessa, TX.

Graveside Services will be at 4:00 pm, Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.

John Williams was born in Houston, TX to Alva J. and Valera L. Williams on September 4, 1942.
He attended school in Texas City, TX and college in Stephenville, TX. He worked in the automotive parts industry for 32 years, Snead Auto, S&G Auto and NAPA Auto Parts.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served proudly in the Army. He was an Eagle Scout and also a member of the American Legion in Odessa, TX.

John Williams is preceded in death by: parents, Alva J. and Valera L. Williams; sister, Charlotte Poe; son, John Robert (J Bob) Williams and his best buddy, Lewis McMahon.

John is survived by his daughter, Tammi Mesa and husband Isaac; brother, Tom Williams and wife Sheri; grandchildren, Trinity Mesa, Orion Mesa and Gavin Mesa; nephews, Brian Williams and Brent Seymour; niece, Denise Williams; great nephew; Grant Williams and wife Brittany; great nieces, Savannah and Gabrielle Williams and many friends he loved dearly.

Memorials may be given in John's name to the Permian Basin Honor Flight.
