John Dustin "Dusty" Marshall passed away at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX, on August 24, 2023, at the age of 76. He was born September 3, 1946, in Dayton, OH, to Robert Leroy Marshall, Sr of Ohio and Martha Alice Creath Marshall of Indiana. He moved to Odessa, TX, when he was 5 years old. He met his wife Kathy Jean Shipp Black Marshall while working at a carnival in town in 1963. She converted him, and he was baptized into the church of Christ in 1964. They Married on September 3, 1965, and had 2 daughters, Chrystal Jeannine Marshall Hanks of Palatka, FL, and Julianna "Juli" Marshall of Odessa, TX.
He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers; Robert Leroy Marshall, Jr and Daniel Claudius Marshall, and his parents all of Odessa, TX. He is survived by his wife; 2 daughters; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
Dusty had worked as a machinist his whole life. His first job in this field was at Woolley Tool in 1966. He continued to work in the oil field as a machinist, ending up at Rig Works where he was still working. He was always willing to help anyone in any way he could and will be missed by family, friends, and co-workers. He loved animals, and the family asks any donations to be made to Diamond Dachshund Rescue (www.ddrtx.org) in San Antonio, TX, where we adopted our baby Skylar.
