John Parker

John J. Parker, age 75, of Odessa, TX passed away on December 8, 2014 at Medical Center Hospital.

John was born on March 23, 1939 in Stanton, TX to John W. Parker and Ollie Mae Baker Parker. He grew up in Midland, TX and graduated from Midland High School in 1957. John married Carol Ann Cole on June 24, 1959 in Midland, TX. He joined the United States Navy and later went to work in the oilfield. He worked as a driller for over 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol Ann Parker parents, John W. and Ollie Mae Parker sister, Rose Taylor and a grandson, Kyle Upton.

He is survived by his son, Billy Parker and wife Linda, of Odessa daughters, Fonda Parker Evans and husband Tommy of Odessa, Judy Groce and husband Anthony of Odessa and Brenda Stidham and husband Jeff, of Odessa brothers, Truman Parker and Preston Parker, both of Midland 8 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren.

Graveside Services will be Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Donita Dot Lea officiating.
