John, "JT", Taylor lost his battle to cancer on October 4, 2018 at his home in Odessa, TX.
JT was born July 7, 1962 to GW and Margie Taylor in Jasper, TX. He married Michelle Lee Hill on June 25, 2001 in Houston, TX. He owned his own construction company, John Taylor Construction, LLC.
JT was loved by his family and many friends. He was the most caring person and would truly give you the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He was witty and funny and could bring a smile to your face with that Taylor charm. He always smelled good, spraying at least 2 types of cologne, if not an extra one, to seal the deal. He owned John Taylor Construction, LLC and was a highly intelligent businessman who cared about his clients, contractors and subs. He completed many projects around the Odessa and Midland area. He loved to work with his hands and work outside. His job was a major part of who he was and wanted to be. He was a wonderful son who made sure to visit his parents on a nightly basis. He is a brother to two sisters who he dearly loved and liked teasing them when they came to visit. He loved The Yocom family reunions and couldn't wait to play 42 and help fry catfish with his uncles and visit with his extended family members. He was an awesome Dad to his two daughters, Sara and Jessica and grandsons, Roger, Braydin and Karsin. He will be watching over all of them and his first granddaughter, Taylor, who is due to arrive in a few weeks. He was an amazing husband, dad, son, and grandfather. He also was a dad to his two fur babies, Sammy and Turtle. His favorite hobby was bowling and aggravating me (Michelle). He bowled for Astro Bowl on the travel league and many leagues during the year with his dad, his best friend, Mike Cantrell, and his teammates, Brittany Leeann Steele and TJ Vaughn. His journey is complete and what a journey it was. His family members and friends in heaven will surely welcome him and keep him safe until we meet again.
