Josephine Cervantes

Josephine Cervantes, 82, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012 at her residence in Odessa, Texas.

Born in Kurten, Texas to Joe T. and Pauline Rameriez Rodriguez on March 19, 1929, she was raised there for a time then moved to Bryan to the farm. Afterwards, Josephine moved to California as a computer tech then retired from APEX Corp. in 1995, soon moving to Odessa to become a homemaker. Josephine was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Bryan, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Pauline, as well as her brother, Henry Rodriguez.

Survivors include her two brothers, William Rodriguez of Bryan, TX, and Joseph Rodriguez of Santa Monica, CA sisters, Helen Coronado and husband Theo of Los Angeles, CA, Beatrice Garcia of Bryan, TX, Frances Cordero and husband Jesse of San Diego, CA, Esther Mora and husband Roland of San Antonio, TX, Louise Kendall of Odessa, TX, Lucille Singh of Bryan, TX, Romana Griffin and husband John of Houston, TX, Dorothy Galvan of California, and Virginia Villegas of Utah and numerous nieces and nephews, with a special thanks to nephew Robert Rodriguez.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 19, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. There will be a service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in the Sunset Chapel, with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
