Juanita Villa Hidalgo of Odessa departed from us on May 19, 2008. The lord has called for her. And we will all be missing her everyday and love her more then words can say Mom you were our heart and soul. You made us who we are. You were so loving and no one could ask for a better mom. Juanita was born in Dexter, New Mexico on April 3, 1943 to Jose and Martina Villa.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Hidalgo and her parents; Jose and Martina Villa.
She is survived by her brother Natty Villa of California, Sebriano Villa of New Mexico, Cipriano Villa of New Mexico, Alex Villa of Roswell, New Mexico, sisters; Augustina Marquez of Odessa, TX, Josephina Galindo of Sheffield, TX, sons; David, Andy, Gilbert, and Mark Hidalgo all of Odessa, TX, daughters; Sandra Lujan of Odessa, TX, step-son; Robert Cervantes Jr. of Abilene TX, step-daughters; Christina Cervantes, Rachel Tarango of Odessa, TX, and Leticia Martinez of Las Cruzes. Juanita was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She loved them with all her heart and enjoyed their laughter. They filled her life with joy.
Juanita fought a long illness. She will be greatly missed. Remember God prepared a place for her. She worked for Deerings Nursing Home for 24 years. We also want to thank everyone for their support, and especially our aunt Augustina Marquez for staying by moms side and caring for her. Thank You, Tia

A prayer service will be held on Friday May 23, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held on Saturday May 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Lopez officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
