Juanita Holland

Juanita Cole Holland, age 93, passed away, Monday July 18, 2011 in Midland, Texas.

She was born October 4, 1917 in Rule, Texas, the oldest child of N.S. and Bertrum Cole. She graduated from Rule High School and attended Abilene Christian College. She worked for State Farm Insurance for 25 years before her retirement in 1980. She was active in the American Womens Business Association, Eagles Auxiliary, PTA, Eastern Star and the Pink Ladies Hospital Auxiliary. She and her husband were charter members of Eisenhower Church of Christ in Odessa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Holland, her parents, and her six siblings.

She is survived by her three children, Dr. Tom Holland of Midland, Pat McPherson of Richardon and Judye Pumroy and husband Gary of Big Spring. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

She leaves behind her loving family, many friends at Manor Park and caring members of Golf Course Road Church of Christ. She will be missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing this remarkable woman.

Visitation will be from 68 PM on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Gardens followed by a Memorial Service at Manor Park Chapel, Manor Park Retirement Facility of Midland, at 1:30 PM with Gary Stain of Golf Course Road Church of Christ in Midland officiating.
