Justin Silvas

Justin Jesse Silvas, 41, residing in Midland, Texas, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020 in Odessa, Texas.

Justin was born in Rankin, Texas to Jesse and Janie Silvas on September 7, 1978. Justin attended Barbara Jordan Elementary, Bowie Jr High, Odessa High School, and Odessa College. He was married to Ashley Alford on January 6, 2018, in Midland, Texas. He was employed by Jagged Peak Energy as a Field Health, Safety, and Environmental Professional. He truly loved his work, his company, and his coworkers. Justin has been involved in various businesses, hobbies and sports. He loved kids and was involved in officiating basketball games all over West Texas for many years. Justin lived a dream filled life that included ownership of professional arena football teams and taking his wife and kids to special exotic places. He truly loved to take his girls (and his Dad) on special trips all over the world. He had a passion for making people happy and for travelling. Justin also had a passion for helping anyone that had a need. He will be truly missed!

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 29, 2020, from 6:00 till 8:00 PM, at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home at 6801 E. Business 20 Hwy in Odessa, Texas.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Zach Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Justin is preceded in death by a sister, Jacqueline Nicole Silvas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ashley, four daughters; Hannah, Hallie, Alexia, and Addisyn, three siblings, Kimberly, Alyza, and Thomas, parents, Jesse and Cecilia, and mother Janie Silvas, and granddaughter Ava. He is survived by family from West Texas, South Texas, Maine, Virginia, and Louisiana. He will be truly missed by all.

Pallbearers are Steve Morgan, Orlando Calixto, Colt Little, Riley Neatherlin, Clay Johnson, and Kenny Kellems.

The Silvas family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Odessa College, the 5th floor staff at Midland Memorial Hospital, Dr. Mark Davis, and many more that have helped and made a difference in Justin’s life.
