Justine Mccollum

Justine McCollum, age 85, passed away Friday, April 15, 2011 in Odessa.

She was born February 11, 1926 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Earl West and Maggie Stroud West. She married John O. McCollum on November 8, 1943 in Silver City, New Mexico. She retired in 1995 as District Secretary of WhataBurger. She was a member of Eisenhower Church of Christ for over 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Maggie West, husband John O. McCollum in 1996, son, Robert M. McCollum, brother, James West, and sisters, Tina Herring and Hannah Sherman.

Survivors include her daughter, Lana Yandrich and husband Danny of Odessa, son, John E. McCollum and wife Linda of Odessa grandson, Michael Yandrich of Odessa, granddaughters, Traci Freeman and husband Gary of Boerne, Texas, Misti Webb and husband Charlie, of Odessa, Kristi Eicher and husband Craig of Odessa, and Lori Thompson and husband Weldon of Mansfield, Texas 12 great grandchildren sisters, Odella Rader of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Eula Mae Nelms and husband Homer of Orville, California brother, Donald West and wife Mary of Phoenix, Arizona brotherinlaw, Franklin Sherman of Las Cruces, New Mexico and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be 68 pm Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, April 18, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Michael Yandrich, Gary Freeman, Craig Eicher, Charlie Webb, Weldon Thompson, and Karl Moore.
