Our precious Kadyn Ann Pitts, age 6, of Odessa, passed away tragically and suddenly on July 2, 2017 in Midland TX.
There will be a visitation from 6:00-8:00 pm, Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Sunset Memorial d Funeral Home in Odessa. The family will have a private burial and then a memorial service will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, July 10, 2017 at Second Baptist Church in Midland with Jon Slayden officiating.
Kadyn was born in Midland, Texas to Kelly Ann Brooks and Colter Glenn Pitts on July 6, 2010. She had just completed 1st grade at Ireland Elementary in Odessa. Kadyn had a very curious and inquisitive nature that led to lots of questions of how, what, why, when, and where. She loved to roam around outdoors looking at nature and loved to dig in the dirt to see what creature she could find to put in a jar and then she would study everything about it. She was especially loving and protective of her special little brother Christian and had fallen madly in love with her new baby sister Bailey. Kadyn was and will forever be our light and our blessing. Her big smile will never fade from our memory. Our hearts are broken and though gone from our presence, we trust that she is now resting in the arms of her Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ.
Kadyn is preceded in death by her mom Kelly, and her one month old baby sister Bailey.
She is survived by her father Colter Pitts, of Florence, Colorado, her brother Christian, of Odessa, her maternal grandmother Ann Gutierrez of Odessa, her maternal grandfather and his wife Gary and Jackie Brooks of Big Spring, along with her paternal grandparents Dennis and Shana Pitts of Midland. Also surviving her are her great grandmothers, Audrey Brooks of Midland, Mary Briggs of Midland, and Wilma Rodgers of Midland. The following aunts and uncles are also left to cherish Kadyn's memory, Amber and Nick Van Cleave of Midland, Sean Brooks of Big Spring, Michael Brooks of Big Spring, Isaac Gillaspia of Sherman, Texas and Cash and Koby Rains of Midland. She also leaves behind many great aunts and uncles and cousins who will feel her loss forever.
