Kana Webster of Odessa, Texas, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022, in Odessa, Texas. Kana was born September 10, 1942, in Monahans, Texas, to Skeet and Thelma McAuley. She attended school in Monahans, Texas, she also attended Odessa College for 2 years. Kana married Daniel Webster, the love of her life, on October 22, 1962, in Odessa, Texas. She worked as a realtor for many years in Odessa. In 1996 she was the President of the Odessa Board of Realtors, and in 2000 Kana was the Realtor of the Year.
Kana enjoyed traveling and getting together with her siblings and their families. One of her many talents was painting. She painted for her own enjoyment, but also taught painting at Odessa College. Kana loved decorating for Christmas and having her grandchildren and great-grandchildren over on Christmas Eve. Being the kind-hearted soul she was, she would also invite friends to join the festivities, too. Kana was an avid reader. She also loved flowers and gardening and often shared lovely pictures of outdoor scenery on her Facebook page.
Kana is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Webster; her parents, Skeet and Thelma McAuley; as well as 8 siblings, Colleen Clark, Clifford McAuley, Pat Ahlfenger, Nellie Dees, Joan Moore, T.O. McAuley, Sam McAuley, and Jackie McAuley.
Kana is survived by her brother, Skeet McAuley and wife Karen; sons, Jon Webster and wife Lisa, Charles Webster and wife Jamie; grandchildren, Tatum Webster, Whitney Webster, Gage Martin, James Poor and wife Terry, Kristi Poor, Christopher Webster; great-grandchildren, Bentley Poor, Zadie Poor, Addyson Poor, and Greyson Poor; many wonderful nieces and nephews and their families; and two grateful friends whom she made feel like family, Debbie Caldemeyer and Judy Wallum.
Visitation will be Monday, April 25, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be Tuesday, April 26, at 10 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home and burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The officiant for the funeral is Lynn Money of the Sherwood Church of Christ, where Kana was a member.
We want to thank Dr. Butler, Dr. R. Naidu, and Tiffany Vaught for their exceptional care. We also appreciate the loving care that Kana received at Odessa Regional Medical Center.
